1 - How do I book a property?

It's easy! Just fill out the booking request form on this web site, or send an e-mail to Paris Atmosphere. Our friendly and helpful staff will get back to you promptly to confirm your booking and answer any questions you may have.

2 - Are there hidden fees and extra costs besides the rental charge?

We make a point of giving clients all-inclusive prices to keep the booking process as simple as possible. An additional 50€ fee is due for arrivals on weekends, French public holidays or arrivals after 7 pm. This is doubled to €100 for arrivals on Christmas Day (Dec. 25), New Year's day (1st Jan) and Easter. Any further exceptions will be discussed with you in advance of booking.

3 - Do rentals always start on a Saturday?

No. You are free to arrive when you choose. And we can add extra nights onto a week (7 nights).

4 - What is your check-in time?

Normal check-in time is 2pm. If the previous guests vacate the apartment on the day before your arrival, we'll prepare it for you then so you'll be able to check in at any time between 7am and 7pm when you arrive the following day. If the previous guests leave on the day of your arrival, you'll be able to access the apartment from 10am onwards to leave your bags, and then leave the property while our housekeepers prepare it for you by 2pm at the latest (earlier wherever possible). 

We'll do our best to arrange the check-in at a time convenient for you. In order to do this, it is important to let us know what time you will be arriving. We'll also need your flight or train number so we can be informed of any delays. This helps us to ensure that a staff member will always be at the property to greet you when you arrive.

5 - What is your check out time?

10am, but this can be extended to noon if the following guests are not arriving on the same day. We suggest you leave at least three hours before your flight departure time, or three and a half hours if it is at a busy time of day or a popular departure date.

6 - Can we rent for 6 nights or fewer?

Under normal circumstances no, however some of our owners will accept 4 night minimum bookings, so please enquire when reserving. Extra nights can be arranged if the apartment booking schedule permits.

7 - Do you have inexpensive rentals?

We have a wide range of prices and are able to accommodate most peoples' budgets. 

8 - Has someone from Paris Atmosphère seen the property I'm interested in?

All properties are personally inspected by our team. If you have any questions about the layout, amenities or location, we'll be only too happy to answer.

9 - Would you stay there yourself?

Yes! As a matter of fact, we use the properties on our books for family members, friends, and even on occasion ourselves! Of course, we haven't been able to stay at all of the properties, however our detailed inspections and extensive client feedback mean we're very familiar with them and will be able to guide you in choosing the right apartment for you.

10 - Booking Details : when and how much do I pay?

For short term rentals, a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is due upon reservation. The balance is payable thirty days prior to your arrival date. For long term bookings and special arrangements, please contact us directly.  
Upon confirmation of your booking, we'll send you a signed Accommodation Agreement and specific information on the arrivals procedure and how to gain access to the rental property.

11 - Do you request a security deposit?

Payment of separate refundable security deposit, the amount of which depends on property booked, may be required prior to arrival. Payments are usually made by wire directly to the apartment owner and we will provide you with all details when you make your booking. The security deposit will be returned to you in full unless your party is responsible for damage to the property during your stay. 

The security deposit is used to compensate owners in the unlikely event that furniture, bedding or other objects are damaged during your stay. This rarely occurs. If necessary, the security deposit may also be used to pay for telephone or utility expenses. Virtually all security deposits are fully refunded. Security deposits will be returned at the latest within two weeks of your departure date.

12 - What is your cancellation policy?

Under normal circumstances we cannot refund amounts paid (50% upon reservation, the balance 30 days prior to arrival). Only if we manage to re-let the apartment for the dates that you have reserved, will we then be able to reimburse you in full. We cannot however guarantee that this will be the case.
In view of the above, we recommend that our clients take out Trip Cancellation Insurance.

We also suggest you check your Home Owner or Renter Liability Insurance to make sure you are covered while staying in a property abroad.

If you are not already covered for damage caused to rental property abroad, you may want to buy coverage from ADAR. For 3% of your rental fee you can obtain cancellation insurance as well as personal liability insurance. For more details and to purchase insurance, click here.

13 - Is linen included?

Yes, sheets and towels are provided and the cost is included in the rental amount.

14 - Should I bring my own hair dryer?

No. All properties are equipped with a hair dryer. While appliances from EU countries, Australia and New Zealand will work in France with the addition of a simple pin converter, US and Canadian hair dryers are generally not compatible with the French electrical network.

15 - Should I clean the apartment before my departure?

Yes. Apartments are to be returned in the same condition in which they were found. A cleaning service is available if you do not have time or prefer this solution. The cost varies from €60 to €120 depending on the size of the apartment.

16 - How do we get the keys to the property?

Upon arrival, you will be met on-site by a Paris Atmosphere staff member who will give you keys, familiarize you with the apartment and answer any questions you may have. In most properties there is a Guest Book containing all the details and instructions you will require: how to use the Internet, the washing machine, TV, where to find the closest supermarket, pharmacy, metro station, good restaurants in the area etc. And, of course, Paris Atmosphere is entirely at your disposal for any help you may require during your stay.
